Global prevalence of child sexual abuse has been estimated at 19.7% for females and 7.9% for males according to one study published in Clinical Psychology Review that examined 65 studies from 22 countries.
Under the law, child sexual abuse is an umbrella term describing criminal and civil offenses in which an adult engages in sexual activity with a minor or exploits a minor for the purpose of sexual gratification.
The stories of the survivors of Michael Geilenfeld are horrific. These incredible young men have shown unbelievable courage and strength and risked their lives to prevent this from happening to any of their other brothers. Every trick in the book has been used to prevent them from telling the truth, including promising gifts and rewards or bribes, motorcycles, new shoes, money and travel. They stand united because they want this to stop, and they need to heal. They need to grow into productive members of our community. They will not be able to have peace without first seeing that justice is served. They have nothing to gain, and everything to loose. They need our loving, kindness to continue on with this fight.
We are appealing to those around the world who will help to seek justice and give a voice to these survivors. The attorney’s who have represented them need to be paid. These victims desperately need to have counseling. These survivors need to be trained and educated so they can lead productive, satisfying lives. They will eventually grow into child advocates, helping protect the most vulnerable throughout the world. Please join together with us to help these victims of this horrific abuse so that we can work to ensure nothing like this happens again – anywhere in the world.
Please have your voice be heard with your support for these survivors as well as for the survivors throughout the world. This fight is just getting started. Geilenfeld and his supporters, Haitian Timoun Foundation, Hearts with Haiti and Broken Wings collect millions of dollars each year. They have money to hire the top lawyers. They have one of the top lawyers in Haiti. I have to believe that good prevails over evil. I have to believe that we have the truth on our side. I do know that there will be no peace without justice. These orphans do not have anyone to go to for help with their living expenses, which includes school and room and board. They do not have family to go to for help with their legal fees.
